Q. How do I know my job is a right for me?

A. We often work in a place just because it pays our bills. I believe you can still do what you like doing and earn your living out of it. You know if is is a right job for you for being content and happy on what you are doing. Knowing it is what you have always wanted to do and you are accomplishing your life purpose and vision. We have to have a vision to know what we exactly want to achieve in our lives. The vision is the 'idea' of what you want to achieve or where you want to go. Then if what you do now fulfills your life purpose then you are doing the right job, but if you are not happy with what you are doing then you are probably not doing the right job. You can change your situation if you are doing what you don't like doing, this can mean learning new skills, draft a vision statement and work towards that vision, or change your job. Maybe you don't want to change your job but you want to do something else that will accomplish your life purpose. You can still do so by making time to do those things that makes you happy! Arrange your schedule carefully and work part time or volunteer your time somewhere and gain the experience to do things you like doing and fulfill your purpose. The gained experiences can be preparations for you someday to have an exact job suitable for you.

Q. How can I make time for myself?

A. By making time for yourself! Plan your week careful and make time just for you. If you have a busy working schedule or a housewife/husband, you can still find quite time to reflect your days and tank energy, this will help you to focus better and avoid stressing yourself or your body and mind. I try this very early in the morning, I start the day by having a quite time of prayers, meditation and reading my daily devotion. This helps me to focus and follow my schedule as planned. Week days are time for me to relax and spend time with my family. I also make sure I set a budget for spa visit, short relaxation trip or do home spa treatment. Q. How do I take care of my skin?

A. The skin is like our mirror. It reflects our personalities, shows how we really are and how we take care of ourselves.

Starting with the face, we should be careful of what we use to clean or to put on our faces. For some of the products we use, can hurt the skin or lead to skin diseases later. It is important to wash your face in the morning and before you go to bed. Water is the most important factor for our skin, both indoor and outside. You should wash your face using water and cleansing gels, lotions or special soaps depending on the kind of skin you have. We should also make sure that we drink enough water, for water is the greatest cosmetic of all time! Make sure you drink at least two litters of water daily. This is equivalent to 8 glasses.

How do I know what kind of skin I have? Your dermatologist can tell you or you can detect it yourself by looking at the following characteristics:

  • Oily skin tends to shine and is easy to get pimples and black heads.
  • Dry skin tends to dry often.
  • Mixed skin is in between and just like oily skin needs special care.
  • Normal skin is easily to take care and donít have any of the above Characteristics.

Cleansing:
Each morning you should cleanse your face, and also before going to bed each night. In the evening make sure you wash away all make up. It is important to sleep without make up, for this will allow your skin to breathe and to regenerate while you are sleeping. Use a cleanser that will remove both dirt and make up. If your skin is dry use a cleansing lotion or cream that will leave behind emollients. For normal to oily skin, use a gel cleanser or a mild facial soap. Be careful in choosing soap, for soaps can be harsh on your skin.

Moisturizing:
Moisturize your face using a lotion or a cream. It is important to use oil free moisturizers for oily skin. Good basic moisturizer can be found in any perfumery or drug store. You can add one Vitamin E capsule to your moisturizer.

Q. How do I help those suffering from HIV/AIDS?

A. By learning more about the disease, then find an Organization in your area or somewhere else. Look at their vision and mission statements and identify the areas that you would like to assist. This might be by providing resources like finances or materials needed, by volunteering your time and share your skills and passions to those affected or making a commitment to help someone or a group of people facing the problems associated with HIV/AIDS. Q. How do I discover the right style for me?

Style is not fashion, and fashion is not style. Style is determined by the way you dress and carry yourself.
Dressing:

Knowing our bodies and shapes will give us confidence in which kind of dresses or trends fit us. You donít have to have expensive things or lots of dresses to make yourself look good and beautiful. It is a matter of knowing how to choose your clothes and combine them with the right accessories. Slim people, as well as tall people, have the advantage of fitting into almost all kinds of dresses and fashions. People with extra weight should try to avoid too tight dresses, especially if you have wide hips, try to wear long jackets. Black tends to make you appear slimmer than you are. Long trousers and dresses help you to appear taller than you are. Dressing in one color from shoulder to shoe streams the body (monochromatic dressing). People of color can wear strong colors, but just be careful not to overdo it by putting on too many colors at the same time. Otherwise, you will make yourself look odd, as if you are trying to hide the real you. Remember, simple is beautiful!

Match your outfit with equally colored shoes, or the color of your shoes matching with your accessories, e.g. a handbag, scarf, belt, and jacket. I suggest you have black or brown shoes because they fit with any other color. It is also nice to look at the color of the season if you like to change with trends. Avoid wearing shiny colors when the sun shines, and donít forget that dark colors absorb light. If you wear them during hot weather, it will make you sweat more. During this time, try to wear flower colors like purple, pink, blue, and red. Avoid wearing high-heeled shoes all the time, especially if you have a long way to walk, because this can cause damage to your backbone and other parts of your body. A good tip is to carry your high-heeled shoes in your car or in your bag and, wear them after reaching the place youíre going, like at work. By the way, it is dangerous to drive wearing high heels. For men, keep it simple with black or brown shoes.

You can always develop your own style with which you feel comfortable. Having a good eye for how clothes fall and look on you is key to stylish dressing. Style is not being carried away with silly fashion rules. But rather, itís being true to yourself and to your personality when it comes to dress, behaving, doing your hair or make up. Fashion comes and goes, but a stylish person uses fashion to get ideas for her good taste in dressing. No designer knows you better than you know yourself. Professional advice might be helpful in choosing how you dress. Style is simply going with what works for you.
