GIVE THANKS

Dear friends,

It is December, the closing month for this year. Next time you receive my newsletter, it will be 2005!!! Wow…days seem to go so fast. All around, people are in the holiday spirit, thinking and focusing on Christmas. Special Christmas lights are on in stores, people are shopping for special gifts, streets are decorated, and families are decorating their homes in the spirit of Christmas. My challenge to you is, do you really acknowledge the meaning of Christmas? Do you remember that Christmas is celebrated in remembrance of a special boy’s life whose name is Jesus. Yes, Jesus who was sent to our world for you and me.

As I walk the streets of America, thinking what I should write to you during this very important month. My heart choose the title THANKS. December should be a month where we should access the past year. Looking back on achievements and being thankful for being alive and well. Especially at a time when wars and other destructive forces threaten our world. Many wanted to see this December but are no longer with us. Aren’t you thankful to be alive? Does your life have a purpose? Did you make a difference somewhere? Will you look back at 2004 and see things you can be proud of? How are you going to end the year? Are you going to reach someone and show him or her how thankful you are to be here today? The same questions went through my mind and I am happy to say, I am thankful to be alive and to be able to reach someone and contribute something to humankind. On 1 December, World AIDS Day, I was on ABC TV news USA (WHAS 11). Giving this same message, help someone to help themselves , so that we can have a better world. THANKS to those who made this possible and saw the need to be a voice to those suffering because of this tragic health crisis. This Christmas, don’t only give gifts to your families, but also give to those who are less fortunate (even those far away) and your life will be richer because of your kindness and knowing you have made a difference in someone’s life. There are lot of needy people, especially Children, in both the developed and developing world. Notice the abundance of blessings in your Life. If you make a list of the things you are most thankful for, and keep it in a visible area, you will be continually reminded of how fortunate and rich your life is.

One of the best ways to demonstrate an attitude of thankfulness is to reflect a positive attitude. This does not mean you will not face adversity, but you can still be thankful and positive, despite adversity. Don’t wait for next year to enjoy what you have at this moment, enjoy your accomplishments over this past year, right now. Even though you may not have achieved everything you wanted in 2004, you can still make a choice to be thankful for what you have achieved. Things could be worst. I am encouraging you to keep focus on your dreams and visions. In 2005, you can have a better year, no matter how successful you have been in 2004.

I give a special THANKS to all those who have supported me this year. Especially through my foundation, ‘Tausi Aids Fund’ and my company ‘Tausi Dreams’. Also, a very special THANKS to my family and personal friends.

So, as we go into the Christmas season, just keep in mind that Jesus is the reason for the season, and be thankful.

With blessings,
