WAYS TO LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE

Dear friends,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. In a week we will be in 2007! As you prepare your new year’s resolution, I would like to end this year with a newsletter that will encourage you to live your best life by focusing on a few of the themes from my newsletters written in 2006. Following are the themes that I wrote about in 2006 and they can be applied in areas of your life to help you achieve the best in 2007;

1. RELATIONSHIPS

Relationships are keen in our well-being and achievements. Make sure you nourish the right relationships at work, with business associates, friends or family. Learn the truth on how to grow in the right relationships. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). The truth sets you free in many ways. Be truthful with yourself about the issues of your life. Speak your truth in your relationships. Countless relationships fail because one person – or both – are unwilling to speak from their hearts. Be truthful about what you want and what you are afraid of – and you will gain the strength to step fully into the rich, abundant life you were created to live.

2. COURAGE

It takes courage to try new things in life or to accept changes. Remember experiences will help you to grow and it is worthy to take risks at times to climb new levels in different areas in life. With courage, let the steps you make be directed with a healthy mind set, prayers and with the right attitude. Your dreams and visions need courage to be realized, but let your courage be aligned with your values.

3. CHARACTER

Our character determines who we truly are and our destination. God is interested in your character as well as all who cross your path will be drawn to you because of your good character. Character building is one resource that no one can take from you but will prepare you to be a good person and reach your full potential in all areas of your life.

4. NUTRITION

We are what we eat! Good and healthy nutrition will help you to keep a healthy mind, soul and body. This will contribute in achieving well in your goals and activities. Maintaining a healthy mind, soul, and body collectively are essential to overall health which can be achieved by a healthy diet, exercising and resting.

5. MONEY MATTERS

Finance is that one area that we all need to deal with. It is important to prepare well for all seasons of life and build a firm foundation in our finances. Try to avoid the past mistakes that led to financial struggles. Learn from them and find better ways to secure your finances. Challenges in finances affect not only your ability to reach your full potential but it also affects your well being, your family, your health and all things that you are involved in. Make better financial decisions in 2007.

6. STRESS MANAGEMENT

Avoid unnecessary stresses by making wise decisions and managing well your time and resources. Remember to schedule time just for yourself.

7. MAKING TIME

Always make time for things which advance your interests, visions and goals. Also remember those less fortunate and use some of your time for others. These seven areas are all just summaries and you can reread my newsletters in 2006 for more information.

I wish you all the best in 2007!--- Last week while sitting in Osaka, waiting for a flight to the USA, I was reading Essence magazine and came to an article written by T.D Jakes. He wrote 10 solutions that he suggested will help others in next year. The 10 solutions that he wrote summarize most of the areas that I have summarized in this newsletter. They follow:

Again, I hope they will help you next year;

1. TO LOVE YOURSELF 2. KNOW THAT YOU MATTER 3. LEAVE THE PAST IN THE PAST 4. OWN YOUR FINANCIAL POWER 5. HONOR YOUR ‘ME’ TIME 6. PRIORITIZE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS 7. REVEL IN YOUR SUCCESS 8. MAKE PEACE WITH YOUR FAMILY 9. FOCUS ON YOUR PURPOSE 10. CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE.

Last but not least I would like to encourage you to connect with God. All the things I do and write about would not bring me any balance if I did not have faith. Ask yourself, what have you been trying to figure out? What relationship is stuck in a rut? What dilemma are you facing? What does God’s wisdom tell you are the right next steps for you?

Best Wishes
